My mother came to the United States from Mittelstreu, Germany in the 1960's. I still have family who live there. I came across your website in doing a search on Mittelstreu on the web where the article I found asked for more information on Mittelstreu. My mother's maiden name is Hartmann and my grandmother's is Erhart. I'd be happy to share information with you and I know that my mother would love to talk about Mittelstreu with anyone who is interested. We actually have a book that was written about the history of Mittelstreu and includes many families who have lived there. The book is only published in German and is titled, "Mittelstreu und seine geshichte" written by Peter Pottler. It is extremely informative. If you would like to contact me, please feel free.
